Kiran Virani is originally from California, and has been in the great state of Texas since 2011. She earned two master’s degrees, one in marriage and family counseling and the other in clinical psychology. Her extensive work with inpatient psychiatric patients led her to the substance abuse and mental health field. Kiran has a great passion for working with adults and adolescent who suffer from alcohol and drug addiction. Due to her work with a variety of clientele, Kiran has the ability to adapt to the ever changing population and understands the value and importance of multiculturalism.
Kiran is a certified juvenile probation officer, licensed chemical dependency counselor and marriage family therapist-intern. Kiran is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in clinical psychology. Kiran has worked in the field of substance abuse treatment since 2007, and has experience as a therapist providing direct services to clients with co-occurring disorders, conducting psychological assessments on intellectual functioning (WRAT, PAI, KBIT, MMPI, PAI), supervising counselors and counselor interns, and developing residential and outpatient treatment programs.
