Julie Miguel, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, has been at Phoenix House since July 2017 serving as the Program Director for Wraparound Services in Orange County.
Ms. Miguel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from California State University Long Beach, a Multi-Subject Teaching Credential from San Diego State University and a Master’s of Science in Counseling from California State University Fullerton. As a teacher and then therapist, Ms. Miguel has over 20 years experience working with youth in various settings such as the classroom, group homes, clinics and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy. Ms. Miguel has many years of experience in the realm of general and special education as both a teacher and therapist. Most recently, Ms. Miguel worked with young adults on the Autism Spectrum teaching interpersonal communication skills and job readiness.
Ms. Miguel is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the American Art Therapy Association and the American Counseling Association.
