Germaine is a dedicated professional who has been working in the field of Human Service since 2009. He started as a counselor with Daytop Outpatient Services in 2009. He began working at Palladia Starhill facility and eventually moved up from senior counselor to clinical supervisor, and then to the acting program manager. After 4 years with Palladia, Germaine came to Phoenix House. Germaine began as a counselor, progressing to a senior counselor, and is now the Program Director of the Lake Ronkonkoma campus.

Germaine received his Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Service from Ashford University and is currently a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC).

Germaine’s passion to help people who suffer from the disease of addiction and mental health disorder stems from growing up in a low-income environment and seeing firsthand the outcomes of people who suffer and do not get help.

Germaine believes that “obstacles are opportunities to be creative”, and uses this to fuel his work through the challenges of the Human Service field.
