Anna Fortenberry Williams
As a Registered Nurse, Anna incorporates a holistic approach to nurturing patients to wellness. She focuses on an overall state of health and harmony of mind, body, and spirit.
Anna has been a Registered Nurse since 2005 with a background in Emergency Trauma Nursing. She completed her Registered Nursing education at Excelsior College in Albany, New York, and she is currently working towards her Masters in Nursing. She also attended University of Arkansas as an undergrad and studied painting and photography.
Anna is passionate about working with patients suffering from addiction and mental illness. She joined Phoenix House as Nurse Manager in 2017.
Anna wants every patient at Phoenix House to experience a safe and caring environment. She works collaboratively with the highly trained counselors to ensure all patient’s medical needs are holistically addressed as part their Health and Wellness care plan. She believes that each patient’s physical wellbeing is directly related to the harmonious conjunction of the mind, body, and spirit, and that practicing mindfulness and meditation are essential parts of maintaining that balance.
Anna practices yoga and studies ideas of various Buddhist Philosophers on her time off. She also spends time with her two sons who keep her busy and enlighten her world.
