Alcohol Awareness Twitter Chat Co-Hosted by Huffington Post Health

Monday, April 11th, 2011

April is Alcohol Awareness Month, and we are tapping into the nation-wide discussion with our first monthly live Drug Chat on Twitter. Our friends at Huffington Post Health will join us as co-hosts of this kickoff chat, which will take place on Tuesday, April 19, from 3PM to 4PM EST. The chat will focus on a particularly important topic for teens and adults alike: the causes and consequences of binge drinking.

How can you recognize harmful drinking habits? How does binge drinking effect brain chemistry? Does drinking at home = responsible drinking? How can you talk to your teen about the dangers of underage drinking? On April 19, Phoenix House’s Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Deni Carise, will be on hand to answer these questions and more. All you have to do is log on to Twitter at 3PM EST and ask—just remember to use the hashtag #DrugChat.

We hope you will join us for this exciting and informative kickoff chat!
