In Orange County, CA, Phoenix House’s Recovery Maintenance Services are off to a strong start in 2012! Designed to meet the needs of adults living in recovery, RMS services support abstinence from substance abuse and provide a supportive forum for recovery, including substance-free activities and life stabilization services. Among other activities already planned this January, RMS clients are looking forward to a bowling outing on the 17th, as well as a 12-step weekly workshop for women: “Al Koholic and the Green-Eyed Monster,” which brings a unique approach to managing alcoholism and jealousy. Other RMS programs include Recovery Coaching and Mentoring, Peer Support Groups and Leadership Training, Recovery Telephone Check-in and Recovery “Warmline” (1 888 671 9392), Social Events and Recreation, Education Sessions and referrals to additional services.
Recovery Maintenance Services take place on PHOC campus Monday through Friday from 12 noon to 8 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, and are free of charge to all Orange County residents.
