Run Walk Ride RunnersPhoenix House New England will present the seventh annual Run! Walk! Ride!—For the Health of It! on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at the Phoenix House Exeter Campus (address below). This celebration of life, health, and wellness offers participants the choice of a 3K (1.8 mile) walk, a 5K (3.1-mile) run, an obstacle course, or a 20-mile bicycle ride through the blossoming summer in southeastern Rhode Island.  Proceeds from the event support the efforts of Phoenix House New England to help individuals overcome addiction.

If you’re feeling more inclined to enjoy indoor exercise (or if the weather is less than ideal), there will be demonstrations of yoga, aerobics, and other healthy activities in the gym, as well as fun activities for the younger set. Fit for Recovery!, a health and wellness fair, will present information on a wide variety of important topics, including substance abuse awareness and domestic abuse prevention. A barbecue lunch with live music by the Recovery All Stars will give attendees time to refuel and relax, while a silent auction and raffle will offer everyone a chance at great prizes.

All festivities are open to the public. The registration fee is $25 per participant, $10 for seniors. Additional family members may participate at $10 per adult (18+) and $5 per adolescent (12+). Children under 12 are free. The Phoenix House Exeter Campus is located at at 251 Main Street, Exeter, R.I., 02822.  For more information, please call 401 331 4250, extension 3210.
