Phoenix Houses of Texas Gives Thanks

Saturday, December 1st, 2012

Stand up, on this Thanksgiving Day, stand upon your feet. Believe in man. Soberly and with clear eyes, believe in your own time and place. There is not, and there never has been a better time, or a better place to live in.”
-Phillips Brooks

Thanksgiving cooks at Phoenix House in Texas

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect and give thanks for the people who touch our lives, making us happier and fulfilled.  This year, we at Phoenix Houses of Texas, are thankful for the dedication of our clients who work so hard every day to lay the groundwork for a life free from addiction.

We are also thankful for the support of our community for helping our teen clients celebrate the great progress they have made in treatment at the Texas Academies in Austin and in Dallas. This Thanksgiving, the Phoenix House Associates partnered with the Art Institute of Dallas to cook and serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal to our adolescent clients at the Hill A. Feinberg Academy.  In Austin, Phoenix House Academy staff threw a holiday celebration for the teen clients that imparted our thanks for the great progress they achieve each day in treatment.

Finally, thank YOU for believing that change is possible, and is happening every day in Phoenix House programs across Texas.
