Congressman Paul Tonko

Congressman Paul D. Tonko, Vice co-Chair of the House Addiction, Treatment and Recovery Caucus, has been a very prominent advocate for addiction and mental health issues for many years. We congratulate Rep. Tonko, the recipient of two recent awards: the Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC) Public Policy Legislator of the Year and the Outstanding Leadership Award from the American Psychological Association Practice Organization (APAPO) – check out the video of his acceptance speech at this special event. Representing the 21st District of New York, Rep. Tonko has always promoted fair health care policies to strengthen the community and help protect those less fortunate. All of us at Phoenix Houses of New York  are very proud to have friends like Rep. Tonko to help us raise awareness on addiction, recovery, and mental health issues – warmest congratulations!
