Phoenix Houses of New York staff and clients of our Military Community Services Program celebrated Veterans Day by joining the procession at the 92nd Annual New York City Veterans Day Parade on Friday, November 11, 2011 in Manhattan. Our group proudly marched the parade route up Fifth Avenue on this beautiful autumn afternoon, flanked by over 3,000 heroes in military dress from past wars. Over 20,000 participants marched in the parade this year. Staff from our Brentwood Campus, clients from Phoenix House Career Academy and the Jack Aron Center also marched in our group, joined by Phoenix House Foundation Board Member Edward D. Miller, wife Carole, and their grandson. Phoenix House is very proud to offer special treatment services to veterans who have served our country and we are truly honored to participate in this important annual event. See you next year!
