Phoenix House’s Military Services Program Gone Fishin’…

Thursday, August 23rd, 2012

Clients of Phoenix House's Military Services Program venture out on an exciting fishing trip.

Clients of Phoenix House’s Military Services Program enjoyed an awesome fishing journey hosted by our friends at the Veterans Health Alliance of Long Island. Their adventure originated from Captree State Park, at the boat basin on the eastern tip of Jones Beach, well known as a fisherman’s haven on Long Island. Our crew scored big with many catches aboard the Laura Lee on a great day of recovery recreation, camaraderie, and a bit of strenuous exercise reeling in some of the larger ones! Sharing great fun with friends, new fellowships, & excellent weather added to an outstanding mix of healthy and sober recreational activity. The Phoenix House Military Services Programs located on Long Island at our Brentwood Campus, and in Manhattan at Phoenix House Jack Aron Center are proud to provide a broad range of substance abuse treatment, mental health, and support services to active duty personnel, veterans, and their families. We are committed to spreading awareness and support for all veterans nationwide. Way to go, guys!
