What is your greatest reward working with youth?
“Seeing lives change…. Seeing the light go on.”
What is your drive and motivation working at Phoenix House?
“All about the kids.. I always tell them that I wish I had a Wilson in my life when I was a teenager.”
What is your greatest Achievement working at Phoenix House?
“Not reaching 10 years.. Not the pay.. Not the position… But a mother telling me how much I impacted her son.”
What are some of the difficulties that you face working with adolescents?
“I often say that I can work with kids with my eyes closed. The toughest thing is hearing their stories. Some of these kids have gone through hell.”
What would you say to parents who are struggling with a troubled teen?
“Seek help…. Don’t enable them.. It will only get worse.”
Phoenix House is grateful to Mr. Wilson for the exemplary work and ethics that he has demonstrated over the past 10 years. He has exuded a persona of professionalism with staff, and provided great care and concern for clients.
