Phoenix House East Hampton Outpatient Program adds a new innovative program to their services, Celebrating Families

In addition to the life-saving services offered at the Phoenix House East Hampton Outpatient Program, a new innovative program will begin in June: Celebrating Families!™

This evidence-based program for families is designed to strengthen recovery from substances and increase successful family reunification. The program supports healing and promotes safety for children of substance affected families.

The curriculum is designed for families in which one or both parents have a serious substance abuse problem, and a high risk for domestic violence, child abuse, or neglect. In-depth education empowers family members to understand the cycle of addiction, promotes healthy living skills, encouraging communication, problem solving and goal setting. Emphasis is also placed on the importance of individual spirituality and community service.

Each session begins with a family meal; then families break into age-appropriate groups for activities led by our highly skilled counselors. At the end of the sessions, family members reconnect in activities using their new skills to interact in healthy ways.

We offer flexible scheduling with evening hours to accommodate families and clients attending school. We look forward to many productive sessions and are proud to offer this new program to our community.
