drug rehab clients visit schoolsClients from Phoenix House Residential Program in Hauppauge visited students at Copiague Middle School, Commack High School, and Huntington’s Finley Middle School to share their struggles with drug abuse, their lives before treatment, and the positive lessons learned on the road to recovery. Our clients did an outstanding job and we are very proud of their efforts to educate students about the perils of drug addiction. Talking openly about their experiences provided a chance to give back to their community and for many, was an empowering experience. Prevention education is important and we applaud our clients’ willingness to help provide a teaching moment for young people.
