Wednesday, June 6th, 2012

Yesterday many Phoenix House friends and staff members were on hand to applaud our Chief Clinical Officer, Deni Carise, Ph.D., as she accepted her Researcher of the Year Award from Caron Treatment. Todd Whitmer, Regional Vice President of Caron New York, and Neil Lasher of Sony/ATV Music presented the morning’s awards.

Deni has worked in the substance abuse treatment and research field for over 25 years, and has practiced in a variety of settings and countries. She received the Eileen Pencer Memorial Award from the National Institute on Drug Abuse in 2008. In addition to her professional achievements, Deni sponsors and mentors young women in early recovery and was selected as the Pennsylvania A&E Recovery Delegate for National Recovery Month.
