Project Rhythm, an organization with a mission to use music as an empowering and educational tool, visited Phoenix House Career Academy to present a session spotlighting client participation in their music program. Our clients attended evening classes at the Academy writing and recording original music about their life and experiences before and after achieving sobriety. Their set of rap tracks captured the perils of the mean streets and addiction, while celebrating the sober lifestyles and coping skills they have learned to embrace. We are grateful to our friends at Project Rhythm for allowing our clients to participate in this creative endeavor.
