Staff and clients of the Phoenix House Brentwood Campus Military Services Program marched and joined in the festivities at the 66th Annual Memorial Day Parade in Forest Hills, New York on May 27th. A tradition since 1946, the parade draws plenty of spectators showing their patriotism in tribute to the generations of servicemen and women representing all branches of the military. We were very honored to march with these brave men and women on this very special day of remembrance. Our special programs at Phoenix House Brentwood Campus and the Phoenix House Jack Aron Center in Manhattan provide a range of substance abuse treatment and support services for active duty personnel, veterans, and their families. Veterans from years past, local leaders and civic groups marched up the parade route on Metropolitan Avenue, with Mayor Mike Bloomberg also on hand to join in the festivities. We salute all veterans and are very proud of the military community we serve!
