Phoenix House AmeriCorps Collects for Kids!

Friday, April 20th, 2012

Members of the Phoenix House AmeriCorps Program worked tenaciously to collect thousands of new toys, baby items, and childrens clothing for distribution at various New York City non-profits and shelters. Our group worked at the New York International Gift Fair gathering donations from vendors, sorting and packing products, and performing various administrative tasks during this endeavor. Giving back to the community is a number one priority for our volunteers and staff; no task is too big to tackle. We extend our thanks to Kids in Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.) for inviting us to participate; we are proud to assist them to help families less fortunate in the New York area.
