Phoenix Houses of the Mid-Atlantic was recently awarded a contract to operate a residential treatment program in Maryland, further expanding the organization's influence.

The government of Carroll County, Maryland recently selected Phoenix Houses of the Mid-Atlantic to organize and manage a Recovery Support Services Program for individuals with substance use or co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. This competitive contract award significantly increases the Mid-Atlantic’s scope, marking a return of operations to Maryland and the first time since the Mid-Atlantic’s affiliation with Phoenix House that we have operated a facility in the state. Carroll County remains a county in transformation and is an ideal location  for us to provide our much-needed services. Once a a rural farming community, the County continues to grow into a burgeoning suburb of Baltimore, representing a diverse citizenry, similar to other areas in which we currently have programs.

The Mid-Atlantic is honored and excited to embark on this new project, which will include the following responsibilities: operation of a Residential Crisis Service Program, housing functions of the facility, assessment and care coordination for each individual admitted to the facility, development and implementation of a person-centered service plan for individuals in the program, and coordination with local providers’ provision of services at the facility. Phoenix Houses of the Mid-Atlantic looks forward to this new partnership with Carroll County, share the belief that recovery from substance use and other behavioral health disorders is possible

We are truly grateful for this newly established relationship with Carroll Countyand for all of our partnerships with local government agencies on behalf of their citizens.
