Phoenix House New York invites you to join us for a free educational forum in June in Nassau County, New York. “Every Family’s Nightmare: The New Face of Heroin and Opiate Addiction” will present how we can protect our children, families, friends, and communities from the dangers of opiate addiction. The forum will be held on two separate evenings – June 3rd from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the North Bellmore Library, 1551 Newbridge Road and June 18th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Merrick Library, 2279 Merrick Avenue. Both forums will review the signs of addiction, what to look for when your friend or family member is in trouble, while local community resources will be shared with the audience. Andrew Kolodny, M.D., Phoenix House Chief Medical Officer and President of Physicians for Responsible Opioid Prescribing (PROP) will address both forums. He has been at the forefront of fighting this epidemic locally and on a national level. Admission is free. Please join us for one of these important evenings of awareness.
