Phoenix House Academy of Long Island teen drug rehab invites you to the 2013 Artists & Writers Game in East Hampton

Mark your calendars to join us at the 65th Annual Artists & Writers Softball Game on August 17th at Herrick Park in East Hampton. Phoenix House Academy of Long Island is among the beneficiaries of this star-studded east end tradition, along with East Hampton Day Care Learning Center, The Retreat, and East End Hospice. Celebrities stepping up to the plate this year for the cause include: Tom Colicchio, Matt Lauer,  Josh Charles, Ed Burns, Christie Brinkley, Gregg Bello, Carl Bernstein, Rod Gilbert, Lori Singer, Bob Balaban, James Lipton, Jim Leyritz, Walter Bernard, Eric Ernst, Ken Auletta, Mike Lupica, and many more, including founder Leif Hope. Batting practice starts at noon, with the game kicking off at 2:00 PM. We are proud and grateful to be longtime participants at these festivities. Come enjoy a fun afternoon of entertainment, fierce competition and star sightings on the field and in the stands – we look forward to another great outing. Don’t forget the special exhibit at Guild Hall leading up prior to this year’s game, Artists & Writers: They Played In The Game, chronicling sixty-five years of art, memorabilia, and hisory celebrating this fabulous event. The artists and the game they play are a living tribute to the East Hampton artists colony.
