Golden Eagle Insurance "Freedom From Substance Abuse" Drive Benefits Phoenix House Orange County.

This summer, the Golden Eagle Insurance company, headquartered in San Diego, with regional offices in Aliso Viejo and Walnut Creek, CA, held a “Freedom from Substance Abuse” drive, for the benefit of the 30 residential teens in the Phoenix House Orange County facility.

As Kimberly Shannon, Commercial Underwriter put it, the company is “proud to support Phoenix House,” and Golden Eagle employees showed their generosity by providing sheets, towels and toiletries for all 30 teens.

This more than proved Golden Eagle’s claims that they are “committed to being good corporate citizens and doing the right thing,” and supporting “local communities through corporate sponsorships and community service work.”  This particular drive was spear-headed by the company’s active Community Relations Committee, “a volunteer group of employees who care about making a difference.”

And what a difference indeed they made to the teens in Phoenix House Orange County.  They were both moved and delighted with the gifts themselves, and moved further by being deemed worthy of community support and largesse.  It was also a great lesson to them in the power of giving back, and they are still carrying around their Golden Eagle bags on their outings, testimony to the generosity of Golden Eagle Insurance, and their gratitude at being the recipients.

Thank you again, Golden Eagle Insurance.  Phoenix House won’t forget your generosity!
