Gift-Giving and Community Spirit at Phoenix House Orange County in Santa Ana

Tuesday, January 1st, 2013

Clients at Phoenix House Orange County definitely felt the Christmas cheer! Thanks to many kind donations, 69 clients received large stockings full of gifts. In addition, 25 of these clients were parents to children who were also able to receive presents we were able to obtain for them from charitable contributions. To top off holiday kindness, a few graduates returned to the Orange County facility to help wrap and pass out presents and spread the Christmas joy. This is the best testament to the effectiveness of our treatment – our alumni keep the community giving and sharing spirit after graduation and find time to help out while succeeding in reaching their personal goals.

Since 1979, Phoenix House of Orange County has helped save lives, families, and communities. Phoenix House offers a wide spectrum of residential and outpatient services to help clients rise above the cycle of substance abuse. Our clients work with their counselors to create individualized treatment plans, designed to elevate their strengths and sustain their personal growth. The residential treatment program is based on a modified therapeutic community model which is enhanced by heavily encouraged social support.

The social support certainly shined through this holiday season. We at Phoenix House wish you the same joy that we are so honored to experience with our wonderful clients. “I, as always, am glad to be of service to our clients and am grateful for the opportunity to help them get engaged in our family program” concluded Teresa Yuch, Manager of Orange County Recovery Center, who supervised this holiday gift-sharing.
