Dallas Prevention Team at Peter Pan MusicalThis summer, Phoenix House Dallas Prevention Team was involved in a number of summer programs in which they were able to make a difference in over 500 participants’ lives! The Dallas Prevention team educated the youth about the dangers of drug use and implemented the Positive Action Curriculum, as well as Tobacco Presentations and activities. Just like every year, Phoenix House partners with the Dallas Summer Musicals and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas. The DSM provided tickets to see the musical, Peter Pan, for 350 kids.

In addition to presentations with the Boys & Girls Clubs, the prevention team facilitated education groups at the Hill Feinberg Academy and participated in Lancaster ISD summer programs, Tiger Time and S.T.E.M.

Phoenix House prevention programs provide schools and community-based entities with cutting-edge, evidence-based curricula for students, parents, and other adults. Prevention programs foster academic achievement, avoidance of addictive substances, improved social and emotional behaviors, and stronger positive relationships with peers, teachers, and parents.
