At Phoenix Families, It Was the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Phoenix House families celebrate ChristmasThanks to the generosity of members of our Board of Directors, our administration, our staff at facilities throughout New England, and our friends—all of whom adopted a Phoenix House Family this year—the merriest of holiday spirits reigned at Phoenix Families as mothers and children gathered in celebration.

One of the residents just cried and could not say anything.  The smiles and laughter on the children’s faces were priceless.  One little one just sang and danced the whole night as everyone joined in singing Christmas carols.

Here are a few comments from mothers and children at Phoenix Families that will touch your heart:

“I have not received a gift since I was 11 years old.  This means so much to me!”

“I can’t believe all the love I have received since being in this program.  I came to the
program crying.  Within 24 hours, the staff made me feel so welcome!”

“I have really felt a sense of love and unity since I have been here.  I did not expect to receive so many gifts!”

“I love this place.  Since I have been here my anger has gone away.”
(A teen in the program who has struggled with anger issues.)

“Thanks for the love that you show—not just today, but everyday!”

“Having you guys as staff is truly a blessing and we appreciate it!”

Phoenix House gratefully acknowledges the donations and support of all those who made the season bright for the mothers and children in our care at Phoenix Families this year.   Happy New Year!
