Holiday spirit abounds throughout New England as friends of Phoenix House rally together to ensure that for the children in our care, holiday dreams do come true! This year, the response has been amazing, as individuals throughout the community have stepped up to the plate and adopted families at Phoenix House Residential Services for Women, our program for substance dependent mothers and their children, or at Phoenix Families, our emergency housing program for mothers and children. Says Doris Brown, who serves as Program Director at both, “For many children in our care, this is really their first holiday in a safe, stable environment. It just warms your heart.”
And it’s not too late to help us ensure that every child in our care has a happy holiday this year. You can warm your own heart by making a commitment of $150 to this effort. Adopters may donate by credit card by contacting Phoenix House New England at 401 331 4250, Extension 3210, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also forward a check for $150 to Phoenix House New England, 99 Wayland Ave., Suite 100, Providence, RI, 02906. We will do the holiday shopping for your adopted family, and you will receive a personal note of thanks for your generosity. So go ahead: catch the spirit! It will warm a family’s hearts—and your own!
