On November 25th, we published a Holiday Wish List of Children, Teens and Adults for our California region, and donations for the Phoenix House Academy of San Diego continue! Thanks to the efforts of Phoenix Houses of California’s Purchasing & Resource Manager, Joyce Williams, this week we are thrilled to receive donations from two prominent local companies: Acme Linen Co., Inc. and Paramount Mattress, Inc.
Acme Linen Co., Inc., which specializes in meeting textile and hospitality needs, has generously offered to donate twenty new comforters to our residents at the Phoenix House Academy of San Diego. We’d like to thank Tony Lombardo of Acme Linen for coordinating this generous donation. Paramount Mattress, Inc., a Los Angeles family-run company, has also offered a generous donation this holiday season; Steven Hernandez of Paramount Mattress, Inc. coordinated the donation of twenty pillows for our Phoenix House Academy of San Diego residents.
Founded in 1987 and located in the mountains east of San Diego, Phoenix House Academy of San Diego provides residential substance abuse/mental health treatment to teens aged 13-18. The campus is set amidst oak groves, horse ranches, and hills teeming with wildlife. Residents attend a fully-accredited high school while receiving individual, group, and family therapy; they also engage in cultural and recreational activities, and benefit from a broad range of support services and referrals to community partners.
On behalf of all our residents, Phoenix House would like to thank both Acme Linen Co. and Paramount Mattress for their generous donations!
