Academy in Austin Celebrates the Holidays

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2014

A tangled ball of Christmas lightsStudents at the Academy in Austin have enjoyed many festive celebrations this holiday season. Our dedicated staff understands that the students experience many changes during recovery and being away from family through the holidays is not easy, so we work hard to provide many joyous occasions during the season.

For Thanksgiving students enjoyed Thanksgiving lunch with their new friends, counselors, and other staff. They then received a great surprise when their families joined them for a pot luck dinner. Additional holiday festivities include an ice skating outing, laser tag, and plenty of gifts Christmas morning.

We know that November and December often bring new challenges for our students and their families, thus we are eager to help them embrace new experiences during the holiday season. Our academies provide a safe environment for students to get the help that they need to succeed. We focus on family education, individual family counseling, and psychiatric evaluations throughout treatment. Our treatment program as a whole will benefit our students throughout this holiday season by teaching them, as well as their families, new coping skills that will lead to success in the future.

Every day, Phoenix House Texas helps teens and adults who are suffering from addiction in Austin, Dallas, and Houston. Find out more about our programs and services, or call us today at: 888 671 9392.
