Exeter Residential Program for Men
Exeter, Rhode Island
In peaceful southern Rhode Island, men focus on addiction recovery with a treatment plan that meet their needs.
Phoenix House Exeter Residential Program for Men, located in a quiet rural setting in southern Rhode Island, provides treatment in an environment exclusively for men with alcohol and/or drug addiction problems. Our continuum of care ranges, depending upon each patient’s needs, from medically monitored detoxification to short- and long-term residential treatment.
Our residential treatment combines vital counseling, educational, and recreational programs that challenge residents to understand the nature of their substance use disorder, commit to living without alcohol and drugs, and acquire essential life skills. Because successful recovery requires the involvement and support of each resident’s family, our staff works closely with family members to help them understand the role they play in recovery. For this reason, individual and group family sessions are integral components of treatment. Phoenix House also offers individualized aftercare plans, which are essential in establishing long-term recovery. At the Exeter Residential Program for Men, patients experience a new sense of purpose and are motivated to pursue positive goals and values.
The program serves men who need residential treatment for substance use disorder, including those with co-occurring mental health issues. Length of stay is determined by individual assessment and progress toward clinical goals. We offer 30-, 90-, and 180-day treatment tracks based on eligibility requirements and third-party referral. Admission is not contingent on financial resources.
Our treatment plan includes: individual, group, and family counseling; life-skills training; education on substance use disorder effects and relapse prevention skills; and participation in Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and other appropriate self-help groups.
Exeter Residential Program for Men is accredited by CARF, a nationally recognized standard of excellence.
Most major insurance plans and all major credit cards are accepted.
Our treatment philosophy is based on the understanding that addiction is a chronic disease. Individuals suffering from substance use disorders deserve evidence-based treatment in settings that offer privacy and dignity.
