Your child will be working with a team of licensed and qualified professionals. Services are provided by a consulting licensed psychiatrist, licensed independent social workers, and licensed substance abuse counselors.

In addition, our Phoenix House Brentwood Campus Mental Health Services / PROS Program scored well above the New York State average for Dual Diagnosis Capability in Mental Health Treatment rating.

Can I earn academic or vocational credit while I’m in your program?

Yes, we have treatment protocols that combine therapy with attendance at learning institutions, both academic and vocational. These can be custom tailored to an individual’s unique needs, talents, and preferences. At some locations, we also feature in-program education classes designed to help an individual gain the required knowledge to receive a general equivalency diploma.

Phoenix House Florida is accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, a nationally recognized standard of excellence. In 2012 CARF awarded Phoenix House Florida accreditation for an additional three years, confirming performance at the highest level of excellence. We are fully licensed by the State of Florida Department of Children and Families.

Whom do you treat at your facilities?

We treat adolescents, ages 13 to 17, and adults struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring issues such as depression, anxiety, and grief. We also provide educational and supportive services to family members, friends, significant others, and the community.

What type of professionals will be working with my loved one?

We employ master’s-level clinicians as the primary therapists for all of our clients. We have a psychiatrist on staff for medication management, and our medical director and nurse oversee medical issues. As direct care staff, we employ Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors (LCDC), professionals who are currently working on their treatment certifications, and individuals who are in recovery themselves and have dedicated their lives to supporting our direct care staff.

Is Phoenix House Texas accredited/licensed?

Yes, we are licensed through the Texas Department of State Health Services as a substance abuse treatment facility. Our clinicians are licensed and/or certified in addiction, mental health, social services, and health disciplines including: addiction counselors, therapists, social workers, behavioral health interventionists, peer recovery coaches, nurses, and physicians, creating a diverse and strong multidisciplinary clinical team.

Is Phoenix House California licensed/accredited?

Yes, Phoenix House California’s residential treatment programs for adults and adolescents are licensed by the respective state agencies: our adult programs by the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs (as of July 2013 replaced by the California Department of Health Care Services) and our adolescent programs by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division. Phoenix House California’s outpatient and intensive outpatient services are certified by the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs. All of Phoenix House California’s residential and outpatient programs of are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), a nationally recognized standard of excellence.
