The winning ticket for The Ultimate Red Sox Experience was drawn at the 2012 New England Public Service Award Luncheon on June 20. The lucky winner of the raffle, Lori Poirier, a Firefighter, EMT, and Fire Marshall with the Oakland Mapleville Fire Department in the Town of Burrillville, Rhode Island, was quoted as saying, “This is a dream come true, I have been infatuated with the Red Sox since I was nine years old.” Lori and her guest will enjoy two extraordinary pavilion-level seats for the July 20 game against the Toronto Bluejays. Before the game they will enjoy dinner at Fenway’s Shawmut Pavilion, an unforgettable pre-game on-field experience, and a tour of the Red Sox Hall of Fame.
Through a very generous donation by Business Copy Associates, Phoenix Houses of New England was offered the opportunity to sell raffle tickets throughout New England during the weeks preceding the luncheon for this incredible prize. As Boston’s iconic Fenway Park celebrates 100 years of providing thrilling baseball spectacles, sales of the raffle tickets raised more than $3,600 for Phoenix Houses of New England. For more than 45 years, Phoenix Houses of New England has helped thousands of men, women, and children caught in the grip of substance abuse reclaim their lives.
