In Orange County, CA, Phoenix House’s Recovery Maintenance Services are off to a strong start in 2012! Designed to meet the needs of adults living in recovery, RMS services support abstinence from substance abuse and provide a supportive forum for recovery, including substance-free activities and life stabilization services. Among other activities already planned this January, RMS clients are looking forward to a bowling outing on the 17th, as well as a 12-step weekly workshop for women: “Al Koholic and the Green-Eyed Monster,” which brings a unique approach to managing alcoholism and jealousy. Other RMS programs include Recovery Coaching and Mentoring, Peer Support Groups and Leadership Training, Recovery Telephone Check-in and Recovery “Warmline” (714-296-9689), Social Events and Recreation, Education Sessions and referrals to additional services.
Recovery Maintenance Services take place on PHOC campus Monday through Friday from 12 noon to 8 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, and are free of charge to all Orange County residents.
