On Saturday, September 14, Phoenix Houses of New England will present Phoenix House Runs and Walks—For the Health of It!, a fun-filled day of healthy outdoor activity on the beautiful grounds of Forest Park in Springfield, Massachusetts. Kicking off with registration at 9:00 AM, the day’s activities, all open to the public, will offer the choice of a 5K (3.1 mile) run or a 3K (1.8 mile) walk. After working up a good appetite, all participants will be our guests for an old-fashioned barbecue lunch.
Registration for the event costs $25 per participant, $10 for each additional adult family member, and $5 for teens aged 12 to 18. Children under 12 are admitted free. All proceeds from Phoenix House Runs and Walks support Phoenix House’s efforts to help individuals overcome one of the greatest threats to their lives: substance abuse.
