Phoenix Houses of the Mid-Atlantic to Receive Nonprofit Legacy Award

Phoenix Houses of the Mid-Atlantic is proud to announce that it has been selected as a recipient of the 2013 Leadership Arlington Nonprofit Legacy Award.

Leadership Arlington trains community leaders by giving them the tools necessary to invest in the future of our region.  The organization’s Nonprofit Legacy Award recognizes visionary thinking, demonstrated ethics, and support of Leadership Arlington’s mission.  “For the past 50 years, Phoenix Houses of the Mid-Atlantic has demonstrated leadership by caring for those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction,” said Betsy Frantz, Leadership Arlington CEO and Phoenix Houses of the Mid-Atlantic board member.  “Their dedication and innovation in the field of recovery has truly made a difference to the health of our community.”

“We could not be more grateful for the recognition of our work over the past five decades,” said Deborah Taylor, Senior Vice President and Director, Phoenix Houses of the Mid-Atlantic,  “I commend our staff members who demonstrate true leadership as they help men, women, and young people overcome addiction and find lasting recovery.”
