We are excited to announce that we will be there and would love to say hello to anyone planning on attending the conference. This is a great opportunity to learn more about programs and services at Phoenix Houses of the Mid-Atlantic and meet with Cindy Blanton, our Assessment Manager. She will be happy to talk to you and answer all the questions you may have about our organization.
Different themes will be covered in the workshop sessions. Among the topics of interest for the workshop is “The ‘New’ drugs of abuse: 3 Horsemen”. The presentation will focus on three specific substance abuse trends among adolescent and adult populations and will be held by experienced professionals such as Patrick Slifka, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addictions Counselor in the state of Virginia, and George Young, a Senior Clinician for the National Counseling Group, Inc.
