Staff of the Phoenix House East Hampton Outpatient Program were on hand for an educational evening at the 2nd Annual John Marshall Elementary School Health Fair in East Hampton. The school gym was filled with students and families interested in health and wellness information and demonstrations, tailored for a younger audience. Phoenix House’s Tanya Rosen and Ann Marie Jayzlo were on hand to answer parents’ questions and distribute brochures about the Outpatient Program and its treatment services. Other participants on hand included East Hampton Library, The Retreat, Alcoholics Anonymous, East Hampton Volunteer Ocean Rescue, East Hampton Police Department, The Wellness Foundation, i-tri, and many others. Substance abuse education, prevention services, and awareness are top priorities for all at Phoenix House; instilling healthy lifestyle concepts to adolescents are truly important. It’s never too early to heighten public awareness of the dangers of drugs and alcohol. Congratulations on a successful outing!
