With the advent of health care reform, the medical community is now preparing for significant changes, particularly in the fields of mental health and addiction treatment. In light of these opportunities and challenges, the NYULMC Center of Excellence on Addiction and the NYU Division of General Internal Medicine have invited our Chief Clinical Officer Deni Carise, Ph.D. to present a seminar as part of its Addiction Research Dissemination Implementation and Sustainability (ARDIS) initiative. Dr. Carise will be the second presenter for this lively discussion series, which features distinguished speakers in the behavioral health care field. Her presentation on October 26, 2011 will examine the impact of health care reform on substance abuse treatment providers in general, and on Phoenix House in particular. To learn more about this important topic, we invite you to follow Deni Carise on Twitter and read her posts on the Phoenix House blog.
