Phoenix House PROS Program celebrates the legacy of Black History Month

Clients and staff of the Phoenix House Brentwood Campus PROS FIRST Program (Personalized Recovery Oriented Services/Foundation for Integrated Recovery Services) celebrated Black History Month on a special day of reflection, historical facts and thankful recognition of its legacy. Our clients acknowledged the founders of the civil rights movement and notable African Americans contributors in music, literature, technology, advocacy and industry: Maya Angelou, W.E.B. Dubois, George Washington Carver, Martin Luther King, Carter Woodson, James E. West, James Weldon Johnson, and President Barack Obama. Sharing informative presentations and artistic creativity enhanced a very special event and luncheon; a great time was enjoyed by all attendees. Our PROS Program allows clients to receive treatment services and engage in goal-oriented rehabilitation for recovery. Looking  forward to next year’s celebration!
