College Week Live, happening this week from November 2-3, is the world’s largest online college fair. It allows high school students and parents to scope out schools from afar and listen to expert speakers on college topics.
This week, one of those experts will be our very own Tessa Vining, LCSW, CASAC-T, Clinical Director of the Adolescent and Young Adult Outpatient program at Phoenix House. During her presentation, “The Real Deal With Drugs and Alcohol on College Campuses,” Tessa will discuss the prevalence of substances on campus and what students can do to have fun while remaining safe. She’ll offer valuable tips for students in recovery who are entering college, and advise students on how to support themselves/their friends if alcohol or drug use is becoming a problem.
If you’re a teen or parent looking at colleges, we invite you to check out this phenomenal online resource and enjoy learning from Tessa and other experts.
