Spring has sprung with wonderful weather, and students from our Phoenix House Academy of Long Island have embarked upon a major outdoor beautification project at their residential treatment facility – check out the results of their efforts.  New, fresh, colorful flower beds and landscaping all around the grounds, everyone did a fantastic job. Gardening is empowering as our students create a beautiful environment and increase plant life in their community, a healthy sober recreation activity and gives pause for appreciation of nature and creative reflection. These are skills our students can utilize repeatedly on their road to recovery.

Phoenix House Academy of Long Island, located on Long Island’s East End, serves adolescent males who are struggling with substance abuse. Our Academy model is designed to help young clients prepare for productive, self-sufficient, and drug-free lives. Residents complete treatment while taking part in the Academy’s fully accredited on-site academic program, which allows clients to catch up on their studies or earn credit toward their high school diplomas.
