On Tuesday, June 2, 2015, Phoenix House New England will host the fourteenth annual New England Public Service Award Luncheon at the Omni Providence Hotel, honoring Helena B. Foulkes, Executive Vice President, CVS Health, and President, CVS/pharmacy, for her outstanding leadership and contributions to the community. The Luncheon annually honors exceptional men and women whose achievements serve as an inspiration to young people struggling with substance abuse. Funds raised benefit Phoenix House’s treatment, education, and prevention programs throughout Rhode Island. We are honored that Dan Jaehnig, news anchor at NBC 10, Providence, and a board member of Phoenix House New England, has generously agreed once again to serve as the event’s master of ceremonies.
Ms. Foulkes, a Rhode Island native and graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School, recently ranked 26th on Fortune magazine’s list of the 50 Most Powerful Women in business. She was instrumental in helping CVS become the largest pharmacy healthcare provider in the United States and played an important role in CVS Health’s landmark decision to eliminate tobacco sales in all the corporation’s stores. This courageous step aligns with Phoenix House’s commitment to better health through recovery from addictive substances.
The festivities will begin at 11:30 AM with a reception to congratulate Helena Foulkes. Lunch will be served at 12:00 Noon. For additional information on sponsorships or ticket purchases, please call Phoenix House New England at 401 331 4250, extension 3210.
