Phoenix House Chief Medical Officer Andrew Kolodny, MD, was among the speakers at a recent forum devoted to heroin and opiates: “The Ugly Truth” presented by the Commack Coalition of Caring and the Suffolk County Police Department’s Fourth Precinct at Commack High School. Police officers, addiction treatment professionals, a medical examiner, and others directly involved in witnessing the epidemic gripping our communities spoke about their experiences. Resource tables were also set up offering information for guests attending the forum.
