Celebrating Recovery in Florida

Friday, January 23rd, 2015

balloonsSaturday, January 24, 2015 will be a day full of happiness and pride as Phoenix House Florida hosts a Celebration of Recovery at Phoenix House Citra. The Celebration is a semiannual event that recognizes the successful completion of each resident’s treatment episode. A surprise guest will speak at the event, providing uplifting motivation to graduates and current clients, and giving inspiration for a lifelong journey in recovery.

During the event, current clients will be recognized with awards, including Best Role Model, Most Improved, and Most Helpful. Staff members will also be recognized for Best Role Model, Most Knowledgeable, and Most Helpful.

The residents are imaginatively planning a swanky “Roaring Twenties” theme for the Celebration, which will provide an atmosphere emphasizing the era’s social, artistic, and cultural dynamism. As the day of the event draws closer, clients are preparing  speeches, music performers are holding day and night practices for their set, and staff members are helping residents and alumni prepare for an event that will provide lasting memories for all.

Phoenix House Florida provides substance abuse rehabilitation for adolescents at the Derek Jeter Center in Tampa and at the Phoenix House Outpatient Program in Brandon.
