To honor Dr. Martin Luther King’s realized dream and to celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama, the first African-American President of the United States, Phoenix House AmeriCorps members and staff regaled in a combined celebration with Phoenix House clients. As a diverse group of more than 200 individuals – representing a broad range of creeds, races, ages, and genders – we shared pride, joy, hope and great gratitude for this monumental occasion.
