The Annual Artists and Writers Charity Softball Game Celebrates 60 Years

The 60th Annual Artists and Writers Charity Softball Game took place on Saturday August 16, 2008 at Herrick Park in East Hampton. The charity softball game was played to benefit Phoenix House, East End Hospice and East Hampton Day Care. The game featured players such as MTV’s Kim Stoltz, entrepreneur B.       Phoenix House operates Community Residences throughout the country for people who are struggling with substance abuse and diagnosed mental illness. Licensed by local and state agencies, our residential programs offer a structured, safe and supportive living environment where clients can receive comprehensive treatment.       Phoenix House offers emergency help, evaluation and referral services, and short-term treatment for clients who are living at home.

      Help and Hope for families affected by alcohol and other drug abuse.

    • Should I be worried?

      How can you tell if a teen is involved with drugs? There are no hard and fast rules, but there are warning signs. Learn how to spot the most common signs and symptoms of teen drug abuse. Click here to visit our Drug Facts section.
    • What's an intervention?

      When people engage in self-destructive behavior, they often don't realize that they need help. An intervention is when family members or friends confront a loved one about his or her addiction, express their concern, and offer suggestions about how and where to get help.
