About this Facility

Situated in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood in south central Austin, the Phoenix House Academy of Austin offers a comprehensive array of residential and outpatient services for male and female adolescents ages 13 to 17 who struggle with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health problems. Residential clients participate in substance abuse treatment combined with daily on-site, fully-accredited high school education provided by the Austin Independent School District. Our dedicated team helps young people get back on track socially, emotionally, and academically.

• Personalized aftercare referrals and relapse prevention plans
• Medical, dental, and psychiatric evaluation and treatment
• Art therapy

• Relapse prevention training
• 12 Step support group education

• Meditation clases
• Music group held in our professional music studio, taught by professional musician, Matt Smith

The Phoenix House Academy model is listed in the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices (NREPP).
