About this Facility

Located on Ocean Front Walk in Venice Beach, Phoenix House of Los Angeles offers comprehensive residential treatment to those who are trying to break the cycle of substance abuse. Group therapy, individual counseling, and a variety of services are offered to those who are striving to overcome addiction, reunite with family and achieve economic independence. A wide range of group sessions are offered that address recovery dynamics, relapse prevention, life skills, trauma, and anger management. In addition to residential care, outpatient and sober living options are available. Referrals to NA/AA meetings, job training and placement, and other community services are also offered.

All major credit cards are accepted. Payment options include the following health insurance plans: Anthem Blue Cross, APS Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente, Managed Health Network (MHN), as well as Cigna and Health Net from 11/2011.

  • Vocational Services

    Job preparation workshops, resume and interview assistance, and vocational rehabilitation services are offered through partnerships with the Department of Rehabilitation and Chrysalis.

  • Seeking Safety

    Mental health professionals lead trauma-focused, evidence-based treatment groups for men suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

  • Fitness Program

    Clients may participate in outdoor runs and hikes on the beach, yoga, strength training at Muscle Beach, cardiovascular exercises, swimming and much more.

  • Creative Writing Program

    We offer poetry and short story writing classes, workshops, and presentations by writers and other guests.
