About this Facility
Multiple programs share the Phoenix House location on Manhattan’s Upper West Side:
Our Riverside Community Residence provides short-term residential substance abuse treatment for men and women. The Residence serves Phoenix House clients who have completed a significant stay at one of our residential programs, but are not yet prepared for independent living. We also admit referrals from other community-based organizations.
Our Outpatient Program provides men and women with clinical services that promote personal growth and prevent relapse. Clients who need more intensive care are referred to one of Phoenix House’s residential treatment programs or a more appropriate treatment provider. Clients receive a thorough assessment and a customized treatment plan.
The Impaired Driver Program offers NY State licensed and approved services provided by experienced licensed and certified staff. Outpatient treatment services include individual and group counseling, educational counseling, and assessments required by various agencies such as criminal justice, employers, and the courts.
Outpatient treatment services also include the Military Services Program, offering substance abuse and mental health treatment for military personnel, veterans and their family members. The program was designed with the capacity to deal with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), suicide prevention, and the unique needs of current and former military personnel. The resources we provide for veterans and their families are outlined on our page dedicated to the military community.
For more than 30 years, Phoenix House’s IMPACT Program (Intervention Moves Parents and Children Together) has helped thousands of adolescents reclaim their lives. Our outpatient after-school treatment programs provide group and individual therapy as well as positive social activities for young people struggling with substance misuse. We conduct in-depth evaluations of each teen’s needs and develop individualized treatment plans that address their personal goals. Parent participation is encouraged.
Most major insurance plans and all major credit cards are accepted.
