About this Facility
Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) is an evidence-based prevention/intervention program with proven success in decreasing substance use and abuse, and for identifying those who need treatment. SBIRT is a comprehensive public health approach that delivers early intervention to those using substances in unhealthy ways. By placing Phoenix House staff at primary care centers, hospital emergency rooms, trauma centers, schools, and other community settings, we are able to assist in early intervention. Screenings may also indicate the need for further assessment and treatment services.
