About this Facility
Scenic Keene, New Hampshire, located in the heart of New England’s Monadnock Region, offers numerous educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities that create the perfect environment for recovery from substance abuse. Keene has the amenities of a small city, yet retains the feel of a classic New England town.
Phoenix House Keene Center, located in the center of this vibrant community, provides a full spectrum of outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), and residential substance abuse treatment for insured and self-paying clients nationwide. Services include stabilization, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, and transitional living. In addition,Keene Center provides prevention and education services for adolescents through Self-Assessment Saturdays for Youth (SASY).
We provide individualized treatment for chemically dependent men and women, including those struggling with co-occurring mental health issues. Length of stay and the intensity of the program vary depending on the individual needs of each client and level of coverage, and may be followed by referral to the next appropriate level of care. We also provide transitional living for clients in early recovery who have completed residential treatment, but require additional support before living independently.
Our outpatient program offers two levels of care: traditional individual counseling and an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adults, ages 18 and older. Traditional counseling provides supportive one-on-one sessions to identify triggers and motivations for substance use while teaching complementary skills for reduction or abstinence. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides outpatient drug and alcohol treatment group sessions that meet three times weekly for three hours from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is appropriate for individuals who need more skills and support maintaining abstinence from substances. While most clients live at home and continue with work or school during IOP treatment, Phoenix House Keene Center can also provide housing accommodations for clients from throughout the Monadnock Region and New England who need a more intensive outpatient experience, such as a seven-day IOP.
Self Assessment Saturdays for Youth (SASY) is an eight-hour outpatient course at Phoenix House Keene Center. The course serves youth ages 13 to 21 who have violated school and legal drinking regulations or have been experimenting with alcohol and other drugs. SASY sessions take place on two consecutive Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
With clients from across New England, Phoenix House Keene Center accepts payments from most health insurance carriers as well as self-paying clients. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will explain insurance and self-pay procedures. All major credit cards are accepted.
Phoenix House Keene Center is accredited by CARF, a nationally recognized standard of excellence.
